Back for Easter by Popular Demand!
Last year, we held Egg Decorating Classes for our patrons, hosted by Miss Bonny. It was such a success, she has decided to do it again this year.
You will be drawing designs on a raw white egg using a kitska (tiny funnel on the end of a wooden stick) and blackened beeswax. You then dye the egg and apply more wax, several times, to achieve the desired design. The wax is then removed using a candle flame.
The final steps are to coat the egg in polyurethane and blow out the insides. What’s left is a beautifully designed egg that will amaze your family and friends.
Each class is limited to to 5 people and only cost $10 to cover the cost of supplies. Each class is from 3:00p – 5:00p. On one Sunday you will design your egg (approx 2 hours), then the following Sunday, you only need to come in to blow out the insides and put a clear coat on it to help preserve it (less than one hour).
Please plan to attend two classes in order to complete your egg.
There is a sign-up sheet at the pub and it’s first come, first serve. Don’t miss this fun and interactive class!
